INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS

The Institute of Public Affairs of the Jagiellonian University was established in 1997. Its primary mission is to conduct research on the functioning of the public sphere and to educate managers for the public and non-governmental sectors in Poland.
The research team at the Institute of Public Affairs conducts research in the areas of public management, the functioning of the public sphere in Poland and the European Union, as well as public policies – their creation, implementation, and impact on the public sphere and social life in Poland. In particular, we conduct research in the areas of educational and territorial governance, civil society and non-governmental organizations, management control and corruption prevention, and the design of the public sector and higher education institutions.
The Institute of Public Affairs (IPA) conducts research projects for the National Science Centre, projects under the Erasmus program, and grants for implementation. Additionally, it conducts teaching and research projects, in which students and doctoral candidates conduct research in collaboration with the Institute’s partners.
The Institute’s team of researchers includes both scholars in the humanities and economics, in the disciplines of management and quality science, as well as experienced practitioners who conduct individual consulting projects, work as experts in national and European institutions, and are employed in management positions within them.
In developing and implementing teaching and research programs, the Institute of Public Affairs collaborates with municipal, regional, and ministerial authorities, as well as civic organizations supporting the modernization of the public sector.
The Institute of Public Affairs offers programs in the following fields: Social Policy Management (full-time, first-cycle studies)
Public Management (full-time, first- and second-cycle studies) Social Change Management (full-time, second-cycle studies) Public Policy and Management (part-time, second-cycle studies).

ENIRDELM

ENIRDELM is a self-funding network promoting critical and friendly professionalism to improve the quality of educational leadership & management development and research across the whole of Europe. It seeks to deepen and share understanding of the perspectives of multiple stakeholders in education and ultimately to make an impact on learning at all levels of education systems. It does this through the initiative and energy of its participants (researchers, trainer/developers, policy-makers and school leaders) through mutually generated collaborative activities, both face-to-face and electronic.
